Our History

The Founding
In the mid 1980's, A bicycle racer named Ken Glick was building wheels out of his home for friends & local racers. Friends would ask him for advice on buying frames and bikes. So after receiving certification from The New England Cycling Academy, he decided to open a small store in 1987 and catered to the "racer" custom style. Over the years Pro-Form Bike Shop has stayed current on the latest trends. It is that dedication along with expert execution that sets us apart from the others.
The Transition
In January 2025 - after 37 wonderful years as Michiana’s acme for cycling and running, Ken and Shelly Glick passed the torch and are entrusting ProForm to Paul and Theresa Judge. This signifies a new chapter for ProForm, where we will continue to honor the legacy that has made the trusted name in the cycling community.
Ken will continue on as head mechanic, continuing his passion for working on performance bikes. The core team remains with Nick, Tom, and Dave continuing in their familiar roles. Shelley will enjoy a well-earned break and the opportunity to pursue her other passions.
Paul and Theresa are avid endurance athletes with close ties to the community. They are enthusiastic to continue the lineage of ProForm, while serving the sporting community of South Bend through new and innovative ideas.
Spring is on the horizon and we at ProForm are working hard to meet your cycling needs through excellent service, personal connection, and meaningful support. Please stop by the shop, follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and stay tuned for more exciting updates in the months ahead. Thank you for your continued support—we are here for you
